The relationship between George and Lennie is that it makes a powerful relationship between George and Lennie. The love they have for each other, and the feelings they have and the dreams they look forward to accomplish together are just so awesome. For them two, friendship is everything. “We travel together, George said coldly. “ Oh, so its that way.” George was tense accomplishing less. “Yeah, it’s that way.” Lennie was looking helplessly to George for instruction.” (p.25) This quote shows that they are always with each other and they never leave each other’s side.

The boss and others found their relationship so unusual because they have a super good friendship and George is making sure Lennie doesn’t talk or anything so that is also why it is super unusually.

Some character traits are that Crook has a crooked back because of a farm accident, that is how he got his name was because of a farm accident. Crook is also really lonely.

Lennie loved mice because Lennie was attracted to super soft things, but the only sad part is that Lennie would always end of killing the mice because he would always pet the mice to hard and crush them. “Lennie’s closed hand slowly obeyed. George took the mouse and threw it across the pool to the other side, among the brush. What you want of a dead mouse anyways?” (p.6) This quote shows that Lennies likes mouse a lot and never wants to let go of them, but this quote also shows that Lennie like to kill the mice and that is why George is throwing it past the bushes. Some of the bad things Lennie did at the beginning of the story is he saw a shiny dress and grabbed onto it and the girl ended up getting super weirded out because Lennie didn’t let go of the dress and just held it. That is the reason why they had to leave Weed because George and Lennie didn’t want to get in trouble, so they left Weed and went to Salinas, California. “Both were dressed in denim trousers and in denim coats with brass buttons.” (p.2) This quote shows that they were all ready for this and that this is the night that Lennie touched the girls. I feel bad for Lennie because I feel like he is the one that is always messing up and making George look bad.

George and Lennie both are super good characters, they fight right into the story. But both of them are different characters because Lennis has some problems and George is a good kid but also has to take care of Lennie which sucks. Lennie needs Goerge really bad or he wouldn’t be able to live. ‘I need George I need George really bad.” (p.29) This quote shows that Lennie needs George superbad and will always need him because of all the problems Lennie. I feel bad for Lennis I just wish he was normal like all the other kids, but also they need him in this story or it wouldn’t be a story. Lennnie and curley get into a physical fight because Curely thought Lennie was laughing at him. In the fight lennie crushes Curleys hand.“Suddenly Lennie let go of his hold. He crouched cowering against the wall.’You tol’ me to, George’, he said misablrley. Curley sat down on the floor looking in wonder at his crushed hand.”(pg.64) He crushes his hand because he squeezed it really hard because curley kept hitting Lennie and lennie was just sitting there not doing anything about it and everyone told lennie to fight curley back so he did and grabbed his hand and it crushed it.

The foreshadowing is when George tells lennie to meet at the spit next to the river if he got into trouble again. Well, look. Lennie if you jus’ happen to get inrouble like you always done before, i want you to come right her an’ hide in the brush.” (pg.15) Since Lennie always gets in trouble we know that he is going to be going there. I think it could be a symbol because the American dream and the fraternity of men they are no longer in conflict with one another. There dream is no more than a everyday American dream. “Guys like us , that work on ranches, are the loneliest guys in the world…they don’t belong no place…with us it ain’t like that. We got a future. We got somebody to talk to that gives a damn about us…someday we’re gonna get the jack together and we’re gonna have a little house and a couple of acres…an’ live off the fatta lan’, an have rabbits.”(pg.13-14) The dream of ownership was impacted by the great depression which affects so many people.

In chapter one the setting is a few miles of soledad. Chapter two the setting is saturday morning at the bunkhouse. In chapter three the setting is saturday afternoon in the bunkhouse. In chapter four the setting is saturday night at Crooks room. In Chapter five the setting is a sunday afternoon in the barn. In chapter six the setting is sunday morning at the brush. I think that relationship is different from the other men because they are completely different from each other but they are each others protectors the ones who take care of eachother or brothers even. “I need George I need George really bad” (pg.29)Lennie is so childlike and the George needs protection and they both take care of eachother. I think this acts as a symbol because it shows no one else can replace one of them.
