Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He had multiracial descent, with his mother from Germany and Ireland, and his dad from Kenya. While living with his grandparents, Obama enrolled in the esteemed Punahou Academy, He was very good in basketball and graduated with academic honors in 1979. As one of only three black students at the school, Obama became conscious of racism and what it meant to be African-American. He struggled a lot after his parent got divorce and after high school, Obama studied at Occidental College in Los Angeles for two years. He then transferred to Columbia University in New York City, graduating in 1983 with a degree in political science. In 1988, he enrolled in Harvard Law School, where he was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review. After graduating, he became a civil rights attorney and a professor, teaching constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated Republican presidential nominee John McCain and won election as president of the United States and the first African-American to hold office. On that day it was an historic day for Americans, as they celebrated the election of Barack Obama as the 44th President. The election was the longest presidential campaign.

When Obama took office, he inherited a global economic recession, two ongoing foreign wars and the lowest-ever international favorability rating for the United States. He campaigned on an ambitious agenda of financial reform, alternative energy and reinventing education and health care — all while bringing down the national debt. Because these issues were intertwined with the economic well-being of the nation, he believed all would have to be undertaken simultaneously. President Obama undertook a complete overhaul of America’s foreign policy. He reached out to improve relations with Europe, China and Russia and to open dialogue with Iran, Venezuela and Cuba. As the first African-American elected president of the United States, Barack Obama became a pivotal figure in American history even before his inauguration back in January 2009. But after winning a second term in 2012, his achievements in office have made him one of the most transformative presidents of the past 100 years. He took office with a country in peril and led it through the Great Recession, two wars, civil unrest, a rash of mass shootings, and changing cultural demographics. A person cannot become a leader until and unless he is a great communicator. And it isn’t limited to just being a great speaker. The listening, writing, and reading skills are also important as only a great listener can become a great speaker. Barack Obama is a leader par excellence as he knows how to talk to any person, group or audience regardless of their background, age, race, gender, etc. And that’s where he truly deserves all the praise for being an immaculate person having perfected the art of communication.

His entire campaign was a classic case of how to communicate with virtually each and every person in the USA who is eligible to vote, gain his confidence and send the message across in clear terms. And that’s why he was able to win the election in both 2008 and 2012 hands down.

Leaders today have the required skills and knowledge however, many lack the required behaviors. Barack Obama was an inspiring leader with his good behavior where not only American but people from around the world appreciated his quality of behavior. Barack Obama possesses a seemingly charismatic nature which helped him attract the attention of Americans and foreigners. This trait came in handy during the campaign period as it enabled him to draw other people to his side, even some of his critics could not help but like him, and moved them into doing something for a bigger cause. In addition, he gave better speech to a large crowd than any other leader did during. He is considered as one of the best speech givers in the American presidential history that he can command the attention of a person. Moreover, he can give speeches on race issues without coming across as catering only to the black people given his strong connection and ties with the black community. He also appeals across different religious sectors. Barack H. Obama was able to formulate a cross-cultural-global approach to issues concerning America and other countries while making sure that national security is not taken for granted. In his first six months on the job, his focus had been reestablishing international relationships by visiting various countries and even those which America had a cold relationship. He tried to be more reconciliatory with China, Russia and the Middle East, which the Bush administration almost managed to make a hostile enemy. Some of Obama’s policies towards the Middle East have resulted in some serious issues, such as the Arab spring which resulted in the overthrow of some pro-American regime, creating a what some people say a ‘hotspot’ for the Presidents’ lack of global leadership.

Barack Obama the 44th president of United Stated of America was one of the best leader in the world. In 2009 President Barack Obama won the noble peace prize for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people and countries. His leadership approach was moreover like both trait leadership theory and behavior theory since he had all kind of capability and ability of both theories. He was honest, integrity, motivational, judgment, intelligent, good relation with the people, supports other, look from different prospective and he was liked by most of the people because of his good behavior approach to people. Former U.S President Barak Obama follows democratic leadership with the inspiring and best quality of his behavior. In my opinion, he had fought for the middle and lower classes against the interests of the richest. The richest could afford health care which is one of the reasons why President Obama fought so hard to pass the Affordable Care Act to make the health facility better. Barack Obama’s knowledge of approach to the different cultural groups across America (Blacks, Latino, Whites and other races) are some of what contributed to his success as a leader. He is a good example of a transformational leader because of his skill at building bonds of empathy with supporters from a seemingly impossibly broad political base. His integrity, honesty and all kind of leadership quality made him a unique leader.

After the end of George Bush’s presidential reign, the American people were tired of the same political atmosphere and same environment. People of America wanted someone new leader that could bring change to the country where there would be peace and happiness. During the 2008 presidential election, there was a strong desire by many citizens of USA for change in leadership. There were a number of things that needed to be fixed and done such as housing problem and the collapse of the economy crises. During the reign of George bush country achieved one of the lowest approval ratings in history. During the presidential election, there was a desperate need for change and people wanted a leader who inspires and possesses a clear vision. However, during the 2008 election this was exactly what Barack Obama did as a leader. He captured the citizen’s desire, needs and gave the American people the change they’ve been longing for. Mainly Obama focused on getting troops out of the Middle East in the war during the beginning of his presidency. While in the beginning of Bush’s terms, he was focused on creating war where many families of military person were unhappy. The unemployment rate was high when Obama took office where it was 7.8 percent and it continued to get worse in his first year. It peaked at 10 percent in October 2009. But slowly, and more or less steadily, the rate improved. By the time Obama left office, the jobless rate had dropped 3 full percentage down to 4.8 percent. Barack Obama was a leader who adopted different style and gave equal interest and concern to make a good relationship with other countries, global issues, peace, humanity, compassion etc.

To conclude, taking ideology of Barack Obama. We do follow democratic leadership style whereby I always use to take suggestion and feedback of our colleague to do daily work. Through democratic leadership style we were able to encourage our friend to build team cooperation and participate in decision making to achieve the desired goals within the short frame of time. Democratic leadership style helped me to achieve higher productivity and encourage more participation of the employees through rewarding them for performing well in the particular field of work.
